The latest brand that I adore is Reisenthel, a German company which sells the most awesome line of storage and carry products. They have brought the fun factor into shopping products (read our review of the motherchild bag). This Carrybag XS basket is the kids version of the original.

Small enough for little ones to carry along to the market, it's sturdy and has a stable frame and aluminum handle grip. There's even a cover flap to keep goodies in place too. My daughter lugs hers around the house, and keeps her doll and toys in it.

The Reisenthel Carrybag XS is $29.99. The adult version is $39.99. They both come in red, turquoise, kiwi, carrot and pink. The company has really outdone themselves with this product having made it entirely of 100% organic cotton and Romanian hemp. Can I just say this is the softest baby carrier I have ever felt? The inside liner is of fuzzy fleece so will feel extra comfy against baby's skin. The detachable head support panel is also made of the same outer hemp fabric and fleece liner. This carrier has been prewashed with the fabric being dye-free.

Putting this on is fairly easy as there is only one way to wear it. Like the Baby Bjorn, your child can only face toward you or away from you. The seat and straps are well padded, so good for a secure ride.

Tommee Tippee Comes to the U.S.

Tommee Tippee baby products have finally made it to America! The brand, which has been popular in Britain for the past four decades, is now being sold at Babies "R" Us nationwide.

For babies, there's the Closer to Nature line. This collection consists of bottles, pacifiers, milk-feeding bibs, and microwave steam sterilizers. Prices for these products range from $4.99 to $69.99. The BPA-free Explora mealtime products for toddlers are a colorful line of sippy cups, easi-roll bibs, bowls, plates, utensils and easi-mats.

The ones that we have are these spill-proof sippy cups. They have soft spouts which are good for kiddies to chew on and clear lids that cover over them to keep away yucky germs. So far, have not experienced any spillage so they get an "A" from me. They are a little big for little hands to hold but at least they're designed to grip.

A look into Bumbleride's accessories

Every respectable stroller maker must supply a decent range of accessories. Many of these are must-have items for many new parents who want to be trendy but also want to complement their lifestyle or geographic location.

If you go to the beach often, then you may want to consider the colorful Jam Packs or Snack Packs to stow away those baby essentials. If you live in a colder climate then the foot muff may be just for you. Bumbleride's accessory selection is fairly comprehensive and most items can be ordered to match the color of your stroller so you can stay coordinated. Also, if you travel a lot the zip up travel bag will swallow up your Bumbleride Indie to help prevent those nasty old baggage handlers from denting your kid's ride.

Here's the latest 2010 infant carry cot. It will accommodate infants up to 19 lbs and has a carry handle so there's no need to wake sleeping baby after your stroll. You just unplug the two connectors and the cot lifts off the stroller frame. We like the interchangeable design. It's compatible with most of the Bumbleride stroller line up including the Indie, the Indie Twin, the Flyer and the new Flite. It folds up easily and completely flat by lifting up the reversible mattress and pushing the metal frame apart. It also comes with a canopy to keep the weather out.

The carry cot is also supplied with clip on top cover which doubles up as part of a stroller foot muff. When your little one has outgrown the cot, you can then snap off the cover and zip it onto the supplied stroller seat liner as shown in the green image. You then have an instant foot muff to keep your little one warm on those late Autumn strolls.

There is just one problem that we could see. It just isn't quite long enough. Our daughter is 18 months and her little feet had nowhere to go at the bottom of the muff. So Bumbleride listen up. This is a great idea but in comparison to the excellent Bugaboo muff, you need to extend the fabric length to accommodate toddlers otherwise it is just too limited in use as it will be quickly outgrown. The cot and muff combination package can be bought directly from the Bumbleride's website for around $120. I think this is good value when considering the duo product package.

Counting Books: Wow! New York City and 123 Phildelphia

The seventh title of the Cool Counting Book series is now out! 123 Philadelphia by Puck, a new board book featuring the city's symbols and landmarks, is going to make counting more fun with the kids. Each page displays bold graphics of what the city has to offer, like the Liberty Bell and cheese steaks!

If you're stumped on a symbol or landmark, just go to the back of the book and read the location list in both English and Spanish. This is totally different than the traditional counting books out there. Definitely add 123 Philadelphia to your toddler's book collection. Other books I recommend in the series are 123 New York, 123 San Francisco, and 123 Chicago.

Another book that Puck has written is Wow! New York City, a children's book that uses wire-art sculptures to take readers on a dazzling trip through the Big Apple. The artist, Rey David Rojas does a brilliant job in creating New York's most famous symbols such as the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Empire State Building out of paper clips! He created the images in the book using wire made of copper and plastic. He then photographed them and added his favorite colors as backgrounds.

Like the Cool Counting Book Series, there's information in the back describing the city's attractions and landmarks. A wonderful book that is imaginative and entertaining to read. Price is $14.95. Both books are published by Duopress.

Simply Silhouettes made my iPod touch personal

This custom made skin for my iPod touch is an actual silhouette of my daughter! Created by Simply Silhouettes, this is a digital creation that is truly unique.

Personalizing on the site is easy. I just chose which options I wanted on the skin, for example colors, pattern and text, and sent a photo of my child's profile. Then they sent me this thumbnail, which I was pleased about. When I got the product in the mail, I was very excited to see it in person. Placing it on my gadget was easy, since the adhesive-backing is easy to remove and adjust. You don't get any bubbles either when you smooth out the skin. The price for this is $30.

Simply Silhouettes' new collection also consists of skins for laptops and the iPad, throw pillows (see below), and maternity prints. Add this to their selection of stationary, apparel, plates, trays and wall art, and you can create sweet keepsakes of your children's silhouettes for a lifetime.

New and Lightweight!: The 2010 Bumbleride Flite

We're becoming giant fans of Bumbleride, the California based stroller maker here at Mogul Baby. Their latest offering is the super lightweight 2010 Flite umbrella stroller which weighs in at only 13lbs. I gleefully opened the box and quickly assembled the stroller. It took around 5 minutes to plug together and then it was ready to go.

The first thing I noticed was the resemblance to the other and larger strollers in Bumbleride's 2010 lineup. The brand new Flite is the smallest stroller in Bumbleride's range but boy is it perfectly formed. I love the features that the Flite has inherited from it's larger siblings. These include the infinitely adjustable reclining back rest and the adjustable sun canopy with viewing window. Also, the five point harness will keep your child securely fastened to the seat! The Flite has been generously designed to accommodate children of up to 50lbs and it also comes complete with a car seat adapter bar for infants. Each wheel set has suspension to ensure a smooth and bump free ride along hard surfaces and the rear wheels each have their own independent foot brakes. Underneath the seat, there is a handy net to carry bits and pieces on those strolls to the store.

The only thing I can think of that did not get passed down to the Flite is that the push handles are not adjustable. The stroller is very light though, so this didn't seem to be a problem for me out and about on the sidewalks with baby in tow. When you're ready to fold away the Flite, they could not have made it any easier. A quick tug on the handle bar catches and a boot to the kick plate and the stroller folds up neatly and compactly. It cleverly locks firmly into place for safe transportation and an inbuilt carry strap makes handling easy. A cup holder, a shoulder strap and a rain cover are all standard accessories with the Flite.

Strollers have come a long way from what I was pushed around in and there seems to be much more ergonomically based design these days. One of the available optional accessories is the infant carrycot. The carrycot has been cleverly designed to be a modular component compatible with the whole stroller range. I installed the optional cot to the stroller to check it out and was impressed with the way it snapped onto the Flite's sturdy aluminum frame.

Other accessories are available including color matching snack packs, jam packs and a foot muff (our review of this is coming out soon!). The Flite comes in 5 happy colors and the dark Lava style is shown here. This does seem to be a well made and a quality product. I'm confident you'd be happy with your purchase if you did decide to make the Flite your "stroller leap of faith."

Two Boon Products - Stash and Flo

For keeping things organized here's something from Boon called Stash. Place lotions, nail clippers, spoons, pacifiers, or anything else in these little round containers and use this in any room in the house. My Stash is in my daughter's room. It was exactly what I needed to clean up the messy counter top. It's sturdy and mounting hardware is included if you want to hang it on the wall. This comes in white and black. Price is $24.99.

Here's Flo, Boon's Water Deflector and Protective Faucet Cover with Bubble Bath Dispenser. The long name exactly describes its three uses. I think it's best as a faucet cover. Just in case your little one bangs against your bathtub faucet, they will be protected. As a water deflector, I'm not too sure about. Since it diverts the water and makes it into a wide waterfall, it will attract children making it dangerous as it might lead to them wanting to turn the water on themselves. So if you're using this, make sure you don't leave them unattended. Flo also comes in blue. Price is $14.99.

Bink'd Temporary Tattoo Earrings

For parents who don't want to pierce their children's ears and just like the look of it, there's Bink'd Temporary Tattoo Earrings for boys and girls. These are just like the ordinary stick-on tattoos for kids, requiring nothing more than water to put on.

Marvel partners with Reebok to launch new children's footwear

Watch out little Spider-man fans, there's a new shoe out from Reebok. Marvel Entertainment has partnered with the footwear company to launch a 2010 collection of children's sneakers featuring the super hero (past lines include Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk).

Designed exclusively for Finish Line, the sneakers feature bold materials and design that capture the look and feel of Spider-Man. Reebok and Finish Line are supporting the Marvel introduction with in-store signage and graphics.

The shoes come in colors blue, red or black. I like the added touch of a web design on the laces.

2010 Bumbleride Indie Twin

A short time ago we told you about the latest 2010 Bumbleride Indie jogging stroller. Now meet it's pumped up brother, the 2010 Bumbleride Indie Twin. On opening the box, I gleefully assembled the stroller in a few short minutes. The first thing I did was to appreciate it's beauty. The sleek and zesty appearance will really catch your eye and you'll marvel at its lightweight welded tubular frame and the plush seat and canopy fabrics. The twin is essentially two single Indies joined at the hip with the only major difference being two front wheels instead of one.

The big air filled tires are quick release and will make for a smooth ride on any surface. The front wheels have a locking pin which will instantly transform the stroller into jogging mode. You'll have no problem pushing this stroller along as the adjustable handlebar is wide.

This is a big stroller and it measures up at 29 inches wide. You may find you'll have to fold it to negotiate through household doors, but luckily enough folding is easy. Simply pull up on the two handlebar catches and then over she'll go. There are two built in carry handles which should make storage an easy affair and the twin will easily slot into the average car trunk. The giant net basket underneath will swallow up a weeks worth of groceries on those trips to the store and the the big foot brake will firmly secure the stroller to any surface. The back rests of both child seats are independently and infinitely adjustable and will lay flat if need be. Each footrest will adjust too and the 5 point harnesses will keep your kids secure.

The 2010 model provides an extended sun canopy and a UV safe mesh viewing window so you can see what your little ones are up to when pushing along. The rear of each canopy has a handy zip up pouch for stowage of keys and cash and lots of neat accessories come as standard. These include a tire pump, a full rain cover, infant bumper bars, a cup holder and a jogging strap. This super lightweight stroller weighs in at only 34 lbs and will accommodate two children up to a maximum of 45 lbs each. The stroller will also accept infant car seats from a range of manufactures including Peg Peregeo and Graco although only one may be used at a time.

I thought this Pediatric Fever Fighter dosing card was interesting when I received it this week. Created by Meinstein Innovations, this card is intended to give the correct dosage of medicine to your child according to their weight. First of all, how many of you just follow the dosage instructions on a Tylenol box? They just give the age-weight range. According to Meinstein Innovations, doing this can lead to underdosing and can result in pediatrician or even ER visits.

Using the card is simple. It's two-sided with an inner sliding sleeve and a narrow window on either side. You slide the card up and down and based on your child's weight, the exact amount of either acetaminophen or ibuprofen to administer to your kid in either teaspoons or a ml measuring device appears in the window. Cooking fun with the Step2 Modern Lines Kitchen

We've always been a fan of Step2 and their solid, dependable kids toys. Most toys are USA made and this play kitchen is no exception. The Modern Lines kitchen is just one selection from the 10 products in their extensive kids kitchen range.

The unit is easy to assemble and it took me just 30 minutes or so to put it together. The set comes complete with a huge range of utensils, dinnerware and even a coffee jug. Our little girl was adamant that we had a desire for coffee every 5 minutes for the next 5 hours. The bottom oven and top microwave have working key pads which omit realistic beeping sounds. The stove top also lights up and bubbles away when a pot is placed upon it. There are cupboards that open, storage shelves for plates and cups and even a play telephone to add to the fun. A toy kitchen is a must have for any toddler and we hope to have as much fun with this one that we had from old one that we are replacing.

Bambino Mio cloth diapers

If you're a parent searching for a new cloth diaper to try, look into Bambino Mio. I got to try out the trial pack which consists of a cotton nappy, a nappy cover and a biodegradable nappy liner.

These cloth diapers are a bit different from the other kinds I've tried out recently. What's the difference? These have a 100% cotton nappy that is breathable and absorbent. The cloth has a three panel construction which easily folds and fits into the cover. When the nappy is soiled, just replace with a new one and keep using the cover.

The nappy cover fabric has no harmful substances. There are no azo dyes, pesticides, carcinogenic or allergenic dyes. It's elasticated with soft binding so it won't irritate the baby's legs. The Velcro fasteners make it easy to put on and take off. An added plus is the flushable, biodegradable liner which goes on top. Since its purpose is to retain solids, it makes it a less messy job during changing time.

The other day we were excited to receive a package of goodies from Innobaby to test and try. First up was the cool stainless steel baby dinner plate (shown above). The lightweight eating tray has 5 individual compartments and has been designed to help introduce new and adventurous foods to baby. Our little girl has now decided that she has a choice and will turn her nose up at the things she used to eat.
